After serving 8 years in the U.S. Navy, David L.Weaver, Sr. returned to Michigan and worked as a machine tool electrician.  In the late 60's David started replacing electrical service panels and connecting power to central air conditioning units in the Detroit area.  The fast growth of that work sparked the start of Troy Electric, Inc. in 1969.

Today, after 40 years of business and now into a second generation Troy Electric remains family owned.  We've expanded over the years into a full service electrical contracting company serving all of southeastern Michigan and, completing everything from minor residential repairs to major industrial installations.

With the addition of the subsidiary Troy Temperature Control in 1996 we now also offer full service heating and cooling installations and repairs.

Priding ourselves with building lifetime client relationship over our 40 years, we believe that has been accomplished by offering the highest standards for customer satisfaction and quality workmanship and reliability.  As the industry and our business transforms through time, the one thing that remains with Troy Electric is "the customer is number one."
